1st Edition. Marble boards with leather to the spine and corners. Rubbing and wear to boards and edges. Cracking to the top and tail. Book plate to the inside front board and what appears to be a lengthy 19th Century handwritten description as to how the book was purchased to the ffep. Black and white frontispiece. As explained in the book, plates 10 and 17-24 were provided separately so that they would not be 'carelessly exposed to ladies and young persons' These are therefore not present. Some tears to one or two of the page edges. No inscriptions, 331pp. Clean pages with black and white illustrations throughout. (Any digital image available on request).
