A former dinghy racer turned boatbuilder & designer Oughtred developed a cult following both for the beauty of his designs and the quality of the drawings. He created appealing yet inexpensive wooden boats, often basing the designs on traditional local craft. Still very active with his designs that now number over 100 he continues to work from his base in Scotland. They are currently built around the world for amateurs & professionals alike.
