Bound in marbled paper and half-calf with gilt motifs on spine and title. “Florence July 1987” written on top right corner of paste down. Earlier reader has penned over something on the title page. Infrequent light spotting on interior. Overall VERY GOOD to VERY GOOD condition. This book is composed of two works by the Roman poet, Publio Ovidio Nasone. The first, and shorter work, is titled I Rimedi di Amore, and was translated into the vernacular by Eschilo Acanzio, P.A.— which is the pseudonym of Giovanni Pindemonte (1751-1812). The second, longer work is I Fasti, translated by Giovanni Battista Bianchi. This poem winds through the feasts and festivities of Roman life.
