"Histoire de France depuis l'etablissement de la monarchie jusqu'au règne de Louis XIV" is a historical work by Pierre Villaret, a noted French historian and secretary to the French peers. The title translates to "History of France from the Establishment of the Monarchy to the Reign of Louis XIV." The specific volume is the fourteenth (tome quatorzième) and was published in Paris in 1764 (MDCCLXIV). 12mo, A-X, 486pp + Errata (one page). Published by Desaint&Saillant, rue Saint Jean de Beauvais; Printed at De l'imprimerie de P. A. Le Prieur, Imprimeur do Roi, rue S. Jacques, a l'Olivier. Full, leather, raised band spine. Gilted title and floral decoration, rubbed corners, red paper edges. Marbled endpapers. The text layout follows the Golden Ratio. Time notes in the margins provide additional historical context. Condition: really good.
