Book Description

4to (270 x 215mm), 1st part has 48 pl. of strawberries, gooseberries, raspberries, cherries, peaches, grapes and plums; 2nd part 40 pl. of 17 varieties of pears and 23 varieties of apples.
Dealer Notes
“...In the first part the coloured photograph folllows the pomological description, while the line drawings are on the back of the corresponding photograph.  In the second part the drawings are printed on the lefthand pages and the pomological descriptions on the transparent paper covering them. The coloured photographs are on the righthand pages. This method of presentation allows one to take in at a single glance all the information relating to any given variety. This seemed to us desirable as here, unlike the first part, the photographs show the fruits in their mature state and not on the tree.”--from the introduction.
