Fritz Boehle (1873-1916) German painter, etcher and sculptor, artist in a class of his own, strongly inspired by Dürer and Cranach the Elder. Favourite subjects were people and animals. Horses are often represented in fine detail in his graphic work which is greatly inspired by peasant life, craftsmen, Main river landscapes and boating scenes.
