** The title and preliminary pages have been bound at the end following the index. On a blank preliminary a full colour presentation label, c.21 x 12cm, presenting the book to 'Mr. A.P. Freeman, N.Z. Cricket Tour, 1922-3' (an MCC Tour). 'By W.A. Carpenter, Governor's Bay'. Freeman was a fine cricketer, played 12 Tests for England, including 3 Tests against West Indies in 1928, taking 22 wickets at 13.72. In total in 1928 he took 304 wickets and in his 1st. class career took 3775. He played for Kent before and after WWI. [www.espncricinfo.com]. W.A. Carpenter was a Councillor at Governor's Bay, a small town south of Christchurch. The work was originally issued in parts with the title page issued with part IV. BAGNALL S675.

Further comments re condition: Internally scattered foxing with some pages more affected. Old tape marks, and tear repaired with archive tape, to the half title. Piece torn from the top margin of two leaves, with no loss of text. NOTE: Heavy book, 2.7kg, please enquire re postage costs.
