[DLM 182] Derriere le Miroir 1969. Limited edition 139 of 150, with separately printed lithographs. First edition. Issue 182. Pp 32. Limited edition de tete of 150, this number 135. In original green folder, with the two additionally separately printed colour lithographs by Chagall printed on velin de Rives by Mourlot in a paper folder within, the whole contained in original green slipcase with publisher's label. Wrapper stamped Chagall 135 to side of package. (Cramer 81).

Chagall's contribution to the art of the book is a fundamental part of his oeuvre, and he enjoyed a particularly close relationship with Maeight and Derriere le Miroir. This example is a remarkable survival, being in its original brown despatch wrapping with its original three seals intact, unopened and unread, exactly as it was sent to customers in very good condition. Please note; the photographs of the wrapper show the example with its seals intact that we have for sale; the photographs of the work itself are from another example for illustration, also from our stock. The opened example is available at a price of £850.
