Hardback. Delightful miniature Book of Common Prayer in a tree calf binding. Gilt decorations to spine. Gilt ruled border to both boards. Gilt to all edges. Gilt dentelles. Endpapers with floral and trailing leaf design also in miniature and in-scale for the book - possibly hand drawn. With seller’s label, Frank Smythson, 133 New Bond Street; Smythsom of 133 New Bond Street, the business continues as a luxury leather goods and stationery firm better known simply as Smythson of Bond Street. Miniature format: 55 by 40mm (2¼ by 1½ inches). Diamond 128 mo. Frontis. No date but ownership mark dated 1900.
