Book Description

A wonderful pair of Deluxe Edition Children's editions of Lewis Carroll's classics 'Alice's Adventures In Wonderland' and 'Through The Looking Glass', each with 16 colour plates by Tenniel. Published in 1932 and 1928 respectively, this pair are in very good condition in their faux leather bindings, with marbled end papers preceding the original pictorial ones. Covers have fading to spines, with slight green markings on 'Wonderland' (see photo). Wonderland is a 3rd reprint of the Children's Edition from 1932 and Looking Glass is the 2nd reprint from 1928. Uncertain as to whether these were issued as a Deluxe edition in 1927, when first published, or not? Lovely looking and very special pair.
