Book Description

Spanish Civil War item. Stanley Richardson was a poet and translator and intimate friend of the Spanish writers Luis Cernuda and Garcia Lorca. He assisted the Spanish Aid Committee in London, and this leaflet may have been produced to raise funds. It is a powerful poem excoriating those who would ignore Spain's plight and the threat from Nazi bombers, a plight likely to be visited on London in the near future.
