Hardback. Henriette Guizot de Witt (141829-1908) was a French writer from a family of writers. Text in French. Blue cloth heavily illustrated in gilt to both front and spine. Black decorative border to rear board. 57 illustrations by A. Ferdinandus. Rubbed to edges with small patches of colour loss and tiny areas of exposed board. Gilt is very bright. Scattered foxing and age toning marks within, fairly heavy to the prelims and first few pages of text and lighter thereafter. Clean and sound. A very attractive volume.
