Book Description
First edition, first printing. From the Estate of Elisabeth Frink. First printings of 6 volumes. Uniformly bound in quarter green leather with marbled paper covered boards. The condition of the bindings varies from very good to poor and a rebacking if not a full rebinding should be considered. All plates are present in each volume. Sporadic foxing. Volumes 1 and 2 bear the bookplate of Charles Robert Bree (who authored A History of the Birds of Europe not Observed in the British Isles in 1875/6)
