DEDICATED BY THE AUTHOR To the Miss Rawlins of Chaddesley with the Author s sincere regards. Later buckram, with the bookplate of Sir Lees Knowles Bart, of Westwood, Pendlebury & Turton Tower, 1909. A clean set, edges uncut, and eight coloured plates as listed (plate 3 misbound at page 295). An appendix was published subsequently, in 1821, which is not present here. Lees Knowles was a notable polymath; an athlete, author, philanthropist and politician.
