Wylds’ New Plan of London for 1851 published by Wyld, Geographer to the Queen and HRH Prince Albert, London January 1850. The publisher has amended the title to 1851. On folding linen in 24 sections, size 76 by 61 cm. Scale three inches to the mile. Covers an area from Golders Green across to Walthamstow in the north and from Fulham to Greenwich in the south. The map includes the site of the Great Exhibtion in Hyde Park. Hand-coloured. Owner’s stamp to reverse. Folds into a Wyld slipcase, though this is titled London & Environs. Slipcase rubbed and worn to corners, map in VG condition.
