Title page undated, The British Library and other Copac records give a date of 1896 to this rare Victorian Children’s Pop-Up book, a landscape format measuring 12 inches by 9 inches approx., hardback pictorial cover with cloth spine, internally fitted with floral decorated endpapers, running to twenty four pages, delightfully illustrated throughout and includes four colourful pop-up pages, the covers has some general mild rubbing wear, to cloth at spine ends with some fraying to cloth at base of spine, some corner wear, internally old later ownership inscription to front endpaper, short edge tear to endpaper with no loss, a couple of the pop-ups have had minor repairs to a couple of tears, and the central lower underside support piece to one pop-up has split with no loss, else as can be seen in the pictures all the pop-ups are in good working order with no loss some mild marking and light finger marking, some minor edge wear else in nice general condition A GENERALLY VERY GOOD EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE VICTORIAN CHILDREN’S POP-UP BOOK IN GOOD WORKING ORDER
