(6), 271pp; Title page in black, with engraved Armillary Sphere. 364pp; Title page in black, with engraved Armillary Sphere. 318pp. Early full calf, spines in six compartments with raised bands, elaborate gilt tooling and leather labels. Gilt rules and vestiges of edge tooling. Original silk bookmarks to each volume. Joints cracked, with commensurate shelf wear, scars and scuffing. Text is crisp and tightly bound with some spotting and edge toning. The eight plans for Arte della Guerra were never bound into this set, and are added in facsimile on hand made paper in a custom-made 9 x 14.5 cm leather wallet.
