Book Description
This is a Good Copy of this Book in red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine in a Very Good Dust-Jacket that has NO chips or tears to the outer edges of the dust-wrapper but with sunned spine and the inner dust-jacket flaps have tape remnant marks. The book itself has new endpapers and with large circular stamp to the half title page and further stamp to the copyright page and one further small stamp to the title page and one more stamp to the final page of text. Not price clipped (Inner flap is showing price of £7.95 but with pen line through it) and this copy has NO previous ownership inscriptions or names present. There is some tanning noted to the top edge and the fore-edge of the book. The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness and with no leaning to spine. There is some age toning and light spotting along the top edge of the book.As Ex Library Copies go this is really not a bad one.The book is one of the most elusive of all the Jack Aubrey titles to acquire, and the dust-jacket is now well protected in a brodart style cover sleeve.8vo 320pp First UK Edition 1st Impression [1983]
