Published by John Murray, London, 1846, 4th edition. Half leather binding with marbled boards. Four raised bands to spine, gilt lettering (Gypsies of Spain) on black leather patch to compartment two. Gilt decoration to other compartments. 7ins x 4.75ins, xx, 264pp. First published in 1841 in 2 volumes, this edition is the first one volume edition. Carefully revised by the author with a few insertions, but omitting the vocabulary of the gypsy tongue and other parts relating to the gypsy language and literature. An attractively bound copy in VG condition.
