FINELY BOUND by master bookbinders Sangorski & Sutcliffe in blue half leather with cloth boards, the bookbinders mark to the reverse of the front free end paper.
Third Edition of this printed Oxford edition, later impressions.
In five volumes. Octavo (19 x 13cm). Frontispiece illustrations. Foxed to many pages and to the rear boards of Vol I. Minor scratch mark to the cloth to the boards of Vol 5 with a little fraying - see images.
This Oxford edition contains all of Austen's famous novels, as well as extensive appendixes and addenda, including 'Miss Austen's English', 'Modes of Address', 'Carriages and Travel', 'The Topography of Bath', a biographical note on the author, and 'The Mysteries of Udolpho'.
