Book Description
Written and illustrated with twenty-six etchings and engravings on copper by Anthony Gross with a foreward by David Garnett. printed and published by the Rampant Lion Press in Cambridge. This edition is one of 120 copies numbered 1-120 and signed by Anthony Gross. This is no. 85. This book was designed and the letterpress was printed by Will and Sebastian Carter at the Rampant Lion Press, on Arches velin mould-made paper. the text was edited by Sebastian Carter and set in 18pt Palatino. the plates were printed at the artist's studio by Mary west. The patterned paper used in the binding was designed by Anthony Gross and Will Carter and printed at the Stellar Press at Welham Green. Bound in a tan Quarter-leather binding with cloth boards, with slipcase. t.e.g. The book is in fine condition with a very slight mark to spine. The slipcase is in very good condition however it is scuffed to one corner/edge and has some light indentations.
