Book Description
First miniature edition published in 1986 by Hamish Hamilton. The first UK edition was published in 1970 followed by several reprints. Then Hamish published a miniature version in 1986 - this is a first print copy of that version measuring only 5 inches by 4 inches. It is in near fine condition with very clean boards. Without a dust wrapper as issued. The pages are very clean and without previous owners marks or ink. The author, Eric Carle, has signed and doodled a picture of a caterpillar to the title page. This was signed at the Edinburgh Book Festival in 1986 when this edition was published by the previous owner and it has been in her possession until now. Overall a near fine copy and rare signed and doodled by the author.
