Rena Gardiner (1929-1999) was a printmaker, author and artist living in Dorset. Her illustrated books have become collectible, especially those written, designed, illustrated and hand printed by her at her own Workshop Press. This book is a first edition of "The Story of Ely Cathedral" & is one of her Workshop Press productions. On the rear cover is printed : "This book was designed and printed from hand-drawn lithographic plates by Rena Gardiner (a facsimile of her signature which is in the plate) at the WORKSHOP PRESS / The Thatch Cottage, Tarrant Monkton, Blandford Forum, Dorset.
