Dealer Notes
Uncommon. Most sets went to libraries. The former owner has written on the front paste down: “Monumental, one of the great achievements of historiography. Its wealth of learning is dicreetly confined to the Notes, & the interested general reader need not hesitate to approach this work. Its lavish & carefully chosen illustrations are the best companion to any reading on the Hellenistic period.” I hope he was well paid for this!
