Book Description
FIRST EDITION. 8vo, pp. 274 + Angrave’s 8 colour plates. Black boards, gilt lettering. Spine faded, wear to extremities, fraying to head of spine, corners bumped. POI to front pastedown, some foxing. Else, internally clean and tidy. A good copy of Keir Cross’s collection of 18 horror stories, with Agrave’s fabulous surreal plates still pleasingly bright.
Dealer Notes
John Keir Cross also published under Stephen MacFarlane and predominantly wrote for a younger audience. A number of stories from this collection were later included in the 1957 anthology Best Horror Stories.
