Grubby and scuffed, wear and bruising to corners. Toned, tape to hinges, with loss to bottom inner margins, of first signature, some staining and foxing, incl. to frontis and both title pages. Includes ‘The Erl-King’ (pp.245-7) and ‘The Norman Horse-Shoe’ (pp.247-8). A robust copy of an unusual Scottish edition.

Jisc LHD lists only an 1841 George Love edition held by University of Edinburgh. Indeed, only 4 other George Love titles appear in Jisc LHD, all being pocket-sized, Scotch-related and dating between 1836-c1860.
