This is a 1st edition H/Bk copy of “The History of The Isle of Wight” by Richard Worsley and printed by A Hamilton for R Dodsley, T Cadell, G Robinson, R Faulder and G Nicol in 1781. There are 274 pages of text and some 90 Appendices of a further 163 pages. There are also a considerable number of plates showing the principle seats of the aristocracy of the Island. The front board is completely detatched but present and could be re-attached. A number of the pages are stained, probably by water. All the plates are present.
