First edition, limited to 520 copies. Two volumes, complete. HB. White cloth, gilt titles with elaborate gilt decorations to front and spine. Top edges gilt, others hand cut. 214pp & 211pp. H: 39.5cm. (very substantial volumes). With a total of 104 black and white plates, tissue guarded, including photogravures. Beautifully printed on fine paper by the Chiswick Press. Very Good : light handling marks to cloth, some tanning to spines, gilt bright, small bumps to some corners and edges. Pages generally very clean, some light spotting and browning to endpapers, a few small marginal marks. Bookplates of Hugh Gurney Barclay (these are foxed) inside front covers. A Very Nice set. At over 7 kilos extra postage will be required.
