Book Description
Published by Samuel Bentley, London, 1836, 1st edition. Half leather binding with brown patterned cloth boards. Five raised bands to spine, gilt lettering to compartment two, gilt decoration to other compartments. Teg. 12.75ins x 10.5ins, marbled endpapers, xv, (i), 331pp plus engraved title page, 16pp plates and 2 folding plans as required. Also woodcut illustrations within the text. Book has been printed with wide margins which might suggest it is a large paper copy. Light foxing to some of the plates (engraved title worst affected). Corners and spine bands rubbed and worn but overall a VG copy of a scarce work.
