Lewis The Circus’s Booking Agent This is a nice piece of old Circus memorabilia, an old 1930s scrapbook of press cuttings kept by Albert J. Lewis, booking agent for the Great Continental Zoo Circus, the scrapbook which measures 8 inches by 6 inches approx. is filled with hundreds of cuttings dating from late 1934 through to early 1935 keeping a record of the circus’s travels and shows during that season, the scrapbook has 160 used pages, with some handwritten notes by Albert Lewis the circus featured a large array of animals including Lions, Tigers, Elephants, Polar Bears, Kangaroos, Horses, Ponies, and the other usual Trapeze acts, Clowns, Jugglers, etc a fascinating record of the Circus’s activities in the 1934-1935 seasons CONDITION some of the folding clippings are a little worn at edges, browning and some chipping, front cover detached else in good general condition
