Black endpapers, hand-cut page edges. With 22 b&w illustrations in plates, engraved from photos, and 27 illustrations (from photos, and line drawings) in the text. Introduction on history of golf, then chapters on clubs, style of play and how to play, general advice (eg caddies, etiquette), competitions, maintainance of courses, and the laws of golf. A Very Good copy. Covers clean with very light rubbing to image and edges, gilt bright, slight bumps to corners and spine ends. Pages well-bound, and clean, with only very l light foxing.. A nice copy of a scarce early golf book.
