Published by Vinton & Company Limited, London, 1926, 1st edition (subscribers' edition, no 42). Red cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine, and to front board, also gilt image of fox's face to front board, no dustwrapper. 8.5ins x 5.75ins, xii, 316pp plus frontis and 60pp plates (63 images) as listed. Signed to limitation page by author. Presentation letter, dated 1927, pasted to front free endpaper. Inscription and photograph of huntswomen to front pastedown. The letter was sent by Mr C.E. Ridley who is mentioned several times in the text. Scattered light foxing. Heaviest to index pages. Spine very slightly darkened but overall a VG copy of a scarce title.
