Book Description

Hardback. 318pp. Tracing moral ideas from their origins in Greek and Christian teaching and taking them into the twentieth century. Written originally as the basis for lectures on philosophy to support students of English, to understand the intellectual context of the works they study. Red cloth with gilt titles to spine is very clean but a little faded to top edge and softened to spine ends. Dust wrapper is slightly dust marked and has a number of short tears and some small areas of loss to the edges. Text is clean. Binding is sound.
