The extracts from the diary of a 'Mongrelian' are dedicated to a half-breed, who came to the author from a Dog's Home & left suddenly without giving notice. The anecdotes & descriptions are personal, irreverent & very humorous. The book is illustrated by the prolific British artist & illustrator Cecil Aldin who was widely renowned for his paintings & sketches of animals, sports & rural life.
