Half title vi.287pp. Plain contemporary cloth lettered to spine [Miss-spelt Combsberrow] with sprinkled foredges and no advertisements [ Cambridge copy has 16pp of ad's - Not in the British Library ] It was reissued the following year as a " Yellowback " A Lost Race novel set in the Malvern Hills with a tribe of degenerate Romans living in caves.Sheldon went on to write "The Transition from Roman Britain to Christian England " published posthumously, as well as poems a travel book and the sensational novel " The Standishes of High Acre "
