Book Description

Royal 8vo. Limited edition of 525 sets, of which 500 were for sale in England and America. Original maroon buckram, gilt. Top edge stained red, others untrimmed. Frontispiece illustrations. Slight fading to the lower half of the spine of volume 1 where the d/w is missing (piece loosely inserted at front of volume). This volume also has a large tear to the front panel of the jacket. Otherwise the clipped d/ws are a little dust-soiled and rubbed or worn at the spine heads. Contents clean and fresh. Near fine in mostly near fine d/ws.
