Dealer Notes
“Walton’s writings have never before been collected under one cover. The ‘Angler’ and the ‘Lives’ have always been dressed up separately so as to make their appeal to entirely different classes of readers, and Walton’s full achievement has never been allowed to appear.” (Geoffrey Keynes). It includes the ‘Compleat Angler’ from the edition of 1668, with the variants of 1676 as an appendix. Keynes supplied a Life of Walton and bibliographic notes. A lovely copy.
