Printed by the Northamptonshire Printing and Publishing Co. Ltd, Kettering, 1936, 1st edition. White cloth spine, marbled paper covered boards, black lettering to spine. 9ins x 5.75ins, x, 45pp plus frontis portrait and 4pp plates as required. Previous owners name, address and date to front free endpaper. Published posthumously, this volume contains ballads written before 1906 which preserve local legends and folk tales. Most first appeared under the title "Northamptonshire Songs" which was printed for private circulation only between 1904 and 1906. VG.
