Dealer Notes
Norden's Speculum Britanniae was intended to be a topographical and historical account of all the counties of Britain. Middlesex was the first part to be published in 1593, followed by Essex in 1594 and Northamptonshire in 1610. Later editions of Middlesex were published in 1623 & 1655. For this 1723 edition, the maps were newly engraved by John Senex following Norden s original designs.
