Book Description
Published 1914 but undated. Hardback. Quarto. pp. vi, 223. Original brown cloth with background floral design to upper board and spine, repeated on endpapers. Upper board lavishly decorated with gilt scene and further gilt decoration to spine. Twenty three tipped-in colour plates with captioned tissue guards. Each page is printed with an ornamented background frame design in a gold colour and the text is printed within this in black. The tipped-in colour illustrations are also set in the same frame design. No jacket.
Dealer Notes
Book in very good condition. Boards a little rubbed. Lower corners slightly worn. Some light soiling. Very slight toning to half title and final page. Very occasional slight soiling and faint sporadic spotting. Overall a very clean and bright copy.
