Book Description
First trade edition published for public circulation, 1935. Quarto. Brown buckram with gilt decoration to front board, gilt lettering to spine. Brown top stain, others untrimmed. Illustrated with 48 black and white plates, 7 line drawings, 4 folding maps. In excellent condition. Light wear to the head of the spine. Closed tear to the rear panel and some light soiling also to the rear panel. Otherwise, a nice copy in the scarce dust jacket. Binding is strong, square and contents are clean. Price on jacket is unclipped ( 30s )
