Covers very scuffed and worn. Lacks most of leather below lowest spine band. Inner hinges strengthened with brown tape. Plates foxed, some heavy. Pencil annotations throughout the text and on titles. Many annotations to front free end papers with evidence of erased annotation. Bookplate inside front cover, also annotated. Newspaper cuttings stuck to blank page and to subscriber page. Damp staining affecting top edge of first few pages. Corners of a few pages creased.
