LIMITED EDITION. Folio. (16.6 x 13.7 inches). One of 20 copies on Japon Imperial paper, this is copy number 5, from a total edition of 121 copies, and this with a signed original (preparatory?) pen, ink and watercolour painting - 'Le depart pour Epsom' of one of the etchings in the book. 37 pp of text in French and English, illustrated with line drawings, plus title and colophon pages, and 21 hand coloured etchings by Laborde, each with a printed tissue guard, the whole loose in an illustrated portfolio as issued. Red boards with black illustration and lettering and gold decoration to the front panel. Plain white vellum spine. Two red cloth ties. The text and illustration leaves held within three fold over sheets. Some rubbing to the binding but still very good and the pages within are still in very good clean and bright condition. An attractive work. Contains illustrations of Green Park, Hyde Park, Hampstead Heath, Epsom races on Derby day, Oxford Street, Marble Arch, and Trafalgar Square among others.
