G, 33 pls 1729. Uncommon. In modern quarter calf over red marbled boards, edges bumped & worn, tips repaired at some stage. Spine, gilt tooling, gilt titles to pink calf label. Internally, title page in red & black, [2], [1], 2-6 pp, engraved titlepage, [1], Plates numbered: A1-A6, B1-B6, C1-C6, D1-D6, E1-E2 (E3-E6 later prints tipped min), F1-F12 (2 per leaf), 33 plates in total (including the eng tp), + the 4 leaves which have the tipped in later prints, hinges strengthened, paper repairs to tp, in initial to tp, faint Picarts mark (shield) to tp and fpd, edge browning to text leaves, a few light spots not affecting images, light damp stain to margin of last few leaves. Uncommon. (Oblong, 256*180 mm). (2 copies in UK - BL & V&A)) Plates after A Durer (1), Ch Le Bron (6), Rembrandt (18), P Potter and B Picart.
