Book Description
The First UK printing published by John Lane, The Bodley Head Limited, London in 1917. The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition bound in the original publisher's blue boards, grey spine with paper labels on the front cover and the spine. The spine is slightly rippled with minor soiling to the covers. Light pushing and rubbing to the extreme spine tips. A little edge wear to the paper label to the spine. Some offsetting to the end-papers. B/W frontis plate fo Constantinople is present. A neat penned previous owner's name to the upper front blank end-paper. The book is protected in a loose Mylar archival cover. The author's first book published for public distribution containing 22 poems. The book is dedicated :' To the unkindest of critics, H.G.N.'. The dedicatee being the author's husband Harold Nicolson. A very scarce collectible title. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
