Text covers "Doves and Pigeons generally", "The Pigeon Cote", "The Dove House and Social History", "the Dove House and Medieval Economy" and "Dove Houses of Essex". The line drawn illustrations appear at the end of the book. Free endpapers browned. Previous owners bookplate to front pastedown. On the blank page opposite the foreword someone has compiled a list of pigeon cotes in Norfolk and Suffolk. Otherwise a VG copy of a scarce title.
