In modern dark red half morocco, over the original worn boards, gilt tooling, original gilt title to gilt tooled black calf label. Internally, frontis, [4], 16 hand coloured aquatint plates with grey wash borders, each plate accompanied by a leaf of descriptive text, plates dated 1797 to 1803, plates watermarked Whatman 1822, text leaves watermarked 1824, printed by Howlett and Brimmer, original printed title label on front pastedown, some spotting, stains, and general toning, mostly to text and plate margins, adhesive tape removal mark, new old endpapers. (Oblong 4to, 265*210 mm).
