Hardback. Prettily bound and substantially illustrated of this fictional travelogue by the American writer best known for Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. Gilt decorated green cloth binding with shamrocks, hearts and swagged bordered to titles. Illustrations by illustrated by Charles E. Brock. 335pp. Frontis and 49 further illustrations. Gilt to all edges. Gilt is bright but a little rubbed. A little rubbed to points and softened to spine ends. Small area of surface damage to cloth on spine else clean and sound. Rather nice previous owner’s contemporary note in elegant handwriting with a quote in Greek, dated 1905.
