Pen, paper & a box of paints Albert Rutherston, illustrator and designer for the stage

Book Description
Limited to 250 copies, large 4to (34.5x23x3cm), this copy issued in sheets andlater bound in full green bookcloth with printed paper label on the spine. Mint condition internally, the binding is not original, hence Fine
Dealer Notes
A beautiful production from the Fleece Press profusely illustrated throughout with examples of the theatre designs and illustrations that Rutherston made with such a light touch. He was a member of the famous Rothenstein family but changed his name in the first world war to show solidarity with the U.K. and, presumably, to avoid prejudice. A very comprehensive work on a curiously slightly neglected artist.
