Volume the Second. xii, 270, [6]pp index., half-title., 43 fine hand coloured botanical plates (5 double page),with good strong colour, and numerous text woodcuts. A very good clean copy bound in contemporary half calf, marbled boards, gilt labels. Some rubbing to the binding, and evidence of the removal of a private book-plate. The plates are a selection of those listed in the Latin and English index.

The text includes articles on greenhouses, fruit houses, and heating apparatus at Chatsworth; boxes & casks for preserving plants on sea voyages
